Description
Water dissolves many minerals, chemicals, and foreign substances, then, it can get contaminated. Contaminated drinking water can carry bacteria that can harm our bodies and make us ill. Our 25 in 1 Water Test Strips is the perfect solution for a complete water ‘check-up’ before consumption, keeping you, your family and community safe.
This kit can be used to test for:
Drinking water
Recreational water
Agriculture
Mining
Education and research
Water from various sources such as:
Tap water
Borehole water
River water
Dam water
Bottled water
Effluent water
Sea water
What’s in the kit?:
2 x test strips ( W-A: Nitrate to pH & W-B: Salt to Carbonate root)
2 x Ammonia test reagents (Ammonia nitrogen activator & Ammonia nitrogen colouring solution)
1 x Phosphorus reagent
1 x E.coli/coliform test
1 x test tube (for testing with test strips)
2 x small test tubes (for the Ammonia nitrogen test and phosphorus test)
It is easy to use, and provides quick and accurate results in a few minutes.
What the kit tests for:
The Chemistry Solutions Company 25 in 1 Comprehensive Water Test Kit is a single-use test kit that provides a comprehensive panel of parameters for testing water as follows:
Aluminium: 0-250m g/L
Ammonia nitrogen: 0-500 mg/L
Carbonate Root: 0-180mg/L
Chromium/Cr(VI): 0-100 mg /L
Copper: 0-300mg/L
Cyanuric Acidiron: 0-300m g/L
E.coli: 0-500mg/L

Total Alkalinity: 0-240mg/L
Total Chlorine: 0-10mg/L
Zinc: 0-100mg/L
– Collect the water sample to be tested in a vial, cup, or container
– Immerse the test strip in the desired water sample and remove within 5 seconds
– Hold the strip horizontally and gently tap or shake to remove excess water. Take extra precaution to ensure that the water from test pads don’t bleed into each other
– Read the test results carefully within 60 seconds in a good light and with the test area held near the colour chart on the bottle label. Changes in a colour that appear along the edges of the test pads or after more than 2 minutes have passed are of no significance.
Qualitative E.coli/coliform bacteria testing instructions:
1. Wash your hands thoroughly.
2. Flush tap water being tested for 3-5 minutes (if applicable).
3. Remove the cap without touching the inside of the bottle.
4. Fill the bottle with cold water to the line.
5. Screw the cap on tightly, and shake the bottle until the powder dissolves (roughly 20 seconds).
6. Place the test out of direct sunlight, in a room between 20 ºC – 32.2 ºC.
7. Wait 48 hours to compare your results.
Phosphorus test instructions:
1. Collect a 2 ml water sample, then drip 1 or 2 drops of phosphorus colouring solution. into the tube and shake it well.
2. Read the colour with the colour chart after 1 minute.
Ammonia nitrogen test instructions:
1. Drip 2 ml of activator solution into an empty tube and drip 1-2 drops of sample water, shake it well. Wait 2 minutes.
2. Drip 1-2 drops of Ammonia nitrogen colouring solution into the tube and shake well.
3. Read the colour chart after 10 minutes.
Interferences:
The lead test is currently experiencing some interference from an unknown substance, we are currently investigating this.

This is a wonderful kit to use. It helped me pick my new filtration system.

I noticed a lot of white spots left by my tap water and I had been having skin issues. I bought the test kit to see what the results showed and it was pretty accurate. I compared the tap water test to a purified bottled water test and there was a difference.

Not sure how accurate it is but affordable and easy to use.

While I cannot vouch for the testing accuracy vs. an “official” test, the multi-colored bands and the color chart on the outside of the plastic container made it easy for me, even with substantial color blindness (red-green) to confirm the lack of any lead, cadmium, mercury etc. in an antique pitcher before using.

As far as I know these work exactly as promised. They’re easy to use, the colors match the chart & appear to show the water I believed to be good as good and the water I believed to be bad as bad.

We use these test strips to monitor the effectiveness of our water filtration in our home and use them to help guide us as to when we should replace filters.

Product just what we needed.

Recommend this product – super easy to use and interpret. Not sure about accuracy though

Been using these test strips for a year now both for my pool & hot tub. They are awesome and also a great value so a win-win! Very easy to use and read. Will be back for more in the spring!

We got this to do a couple of simple chlorine and lead tests. Works as advertised, but not extremely sensitive. Fine for its advertised purpose.
First, we had just gotten a new water filter, and noticed it didn’t seem to reduce chlorine taste at all. We got a different brand filter and tested with this before and after. Neither showed a measurable level of chlorine, so a bit useless for this sort of test, but adding a touch of bleach containing water produced a strong indication, so it does work, just not as sensitive as taste-buds.
Second, wanted to test lead levels in a couple of different water samples to see if there was a dangerous level. We weren’t really expecting a significant amount of lead, and indeed, no indications on the test strip at all. Tested by scratching a pad with a small piece of lead metal before getting it wet, and indeed, it does indicate, so the test seems fine. Again, just a low level in the sample I tested.
pH and alkalinity also responded as expected when I altered the solution.
Bottom line, the test seems to perform properly, but US tap water isn’t likely to register anything due to the high water standards in the US, other than maybe some alkalinity or pH change.

Checks most common well water concerns. Coliform bacteria presence, lead, Nitrates, and nitrites.
Good product for the cost.

Received excellent customer service, thank you, what a breath of fresh air. Due to the website stalling during the purchasing process, the cost was deducted twice from my credit card. Lesley responded immediately and refunded the additional payment. Product arrived on overnight courier exactly as expected. Have yet to use the test kit, but am very happy so far.
