Is your water safe to drink? Most people only find out after someone gets sick. The Water App is a free-to-start water quality testing app from The Chemistry Solutions Company (TCSC) that turns your test results into clear answers and next steps.

Whether you own a borehole, run a school, manage a water shop or work in a lab, The Water App helps you test, interpret and act — all in one place. Results are checked against SANS 241 (South Africa’s drinking water standard) and WHO guidelines, in plain language.

Try it now: Open The Water App — your first 5 analyses are free.

What is The Water App?

The Water App is a web-based water quality platform developed and fully owned by TCSC, a Cape Town water chemistry company founded in 2020. It runs in any browser on your phone, tablet or computer. There is nothing to download.

It brings three things together that are usually scattered:

  • Testing — use a TCSC water test kit at home, or order a SANS 241 laboratory test run in partnership with an accredited reference laboratory.
  • Interpretation — enter your results and get a parameter-by-parameter verdict against SANS 241 and WHO limits.
  • Action — get treatment recommendations, track your water over time and share reports with the people who need them.

Laboratory work is the app’s core, with community citizen science a close second. Both sit at the top of the menu, right after your dashboard.
